Jillian Raymond
Jillian Raymond began her path practicing yoga deep in the heart of the Shenandoah Mountains at Swami Satchidanada’s Ashram. Her practice took her to San Francisco where she embraced the traditional yoga discipline of Ashtanga Yoga. After completing her yoga teacher training at It’s Yoga in SF she moved to North Lake Tahoe to teach and study at the Tahoe Truckee Yoga and Wellness center. During that time Jillian’s Ashtanga practice became infused with vinyasa flow, yin, hatha, and anusara yoga styles. Her academic studies then had her moving to Arcata, California where she taught at a vinyasa based yoga studio and continued teaching and practicing alongside Ashtanga, Forrest, yin, and vinyasa yogis. Her primary influences include: Pattabhi Jois, B.K.S Iyengar, Sharon Gannon, and David Life. She facilities a practice that heavily relies on connecting breath, body, mind, and movement with a focus on one’s conscious breath and its role in guiding the postures in a moving mediation.
Jackie Schechinger
Jackie’s journey with yoga began in 2000, when she took her first yoga class and was immediately drawn to the challenging connection of breath and movement, and the strength, grace, and focus of this moving meditation. Always interested in the art and science of healing, Jackie soon found yoga to be a balancing and opening force, both on and off the mat, quieting the mind, strengthening the body, and enriching the spirit. After receiving her degree in Physician Assistant Studies and working as a PA in Orthopedic surgery for four years, Jackie’s desire to share her passion for yoga with others led her to the teacher training at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara. There she studied Classical, Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Hatha Yoga, in addition to pranayama, meditation, anatomy, nutrition, and the history and philosophy of yoga. Jackie enjoys teaching a vinyasa style class, exploring proper alignment and emphasizing breath awareness and its role in guiding postures and connecting body, mind, and spirit. Jackie hopes her teaching will help her students cultivate personal awareness and peace of mind while developing flexibility, strength, and balance.
